D.O. Tarragona wines: Solimar range
It represemts our most classical and traditional wine range. It has been the witness of the way time has been passing by, has been transformed by time itself and with the introduction of new techniques and technologies. The name of this range is directly associated with our climatology and reflects all its Mediterranean character.
Solimar Blanco | Solimar Rosado | Solimar Tinto
We are in front of a dry white wine, of great coolness, and it is the result of the coupage of Macabeo, Muscat and White Sauvignon.
With its clear and sparkling colour, our white Solimar offers us a deep , fresh and floral aroma where nice pine apple notes predominate, together with green apple, all that coming from its primary aromas.
It has an elegant bouquet with a long and surprising evolution in mouth. We must point out its silky character, its persistent and equilibrated citric acidity transforming this wine into a smooth, equilibrated and very cool product.
A very intense tropical fruits aftertaste.
A very good ally to smooth first courses, smoked recipes, shellfish, fish as well as salads.
Variety percentages : 70% Macabeo, 20% Muscat from Alexandria and 10% White Sauvignon.
Alcoholic content : 12,5 %
Total acidity : 6 g/l
Residual sugar : 1,4 g/l
Advisable time to be stored : 15 months after being bottled.
Advisable temperature to be stored : 14/16ºC
Advisable temperature to be consumed : 6/8ºC
Our vineyards are grown in lattice work (trellis) and are pruned at a medium-long size.
Our vines ripened at different times, and the produce was elaborated after having achieved the strictest ripening controls ; the variety Sauvignon Blanc was harvested by end august, Macabeo was collected beginning september and Muscat from Alexandria was by middle september.
We carefully fermentate these 3 varieties separately at a controlled temperature around 14 and 16·C during 15 days so as to keep the character and aroma of our vines. We afterwards elaborate this magnificent coupage.
