D.O. Tarragona wines: Solimar range
It represemts our most classical and traditional wine range. It has been the witness of the way time has been passing by, has been transformed by time itself and with the introduction of new techniques and technologies. The name of this range is directly associated with our climatology and reflects all its Mediterranean character.
Solimar Rosado | Solimar Blanco | Solimar Tinto
With its raspberry red colour and subtle purple tones, this coupage of Tempranillo, Merlot and Garnacha grants us a young wine, very original, exquisite and really cool.
In nose it gives an intense aroma of ripened red fruits like redcurrant and raspberry together with slight notes of green pepper on a delicate and perfectly structured background, between frutal and acid.
Its palate is finely equilibrated and it will allow the right evolution of the wine. In mouth we can taste how frank is this wine, since it is just the same as the characteristic already found in nose. Long and slightly acid sensations with a
long aftertaste, very agreeable.
A very much versatile wine which fits perfectly to pasta, rice, pizzas and all kind of light and exotic food.

Our vineyards are cultivated in lattice work (trellis) and are pruned according to the specific process of medium-short pruning. Our grapes ripened at a different time and after achieving the strictest controls of ripening, the variety tempranillo was harvested by end september, Merlot was by beginning September and Garnacha, beginning October.
Its delicious style comes from the result of a controlled maceration but the secret is really to avoid the must and the skin being in contact for too long. We separately and carefully fermentate these excellent varieties at a controlled temperature around 16·C during 16 days so as to respect and preserve the very character and aroma of our vines. We therefore proceeded to make this magnificent coupage.
