D.O.Q. Priorat wines: Reserva wines
They are elaborated with vines selected from our sails because of their so generous contribution to make good wine. They produce magnificent red wines, elegant and of good evolution, worthly to be kept. They are aged in oak barrels always renewed during 15 months to be finally kept in botlles during 12 months before being launched on a connoisseur market.
Priorat Lo Cabaló Reserva
A superb coupage of Garnacha, Merlot, Syrah and Cariñena coming from the vines strictly selected amongst the best from our vineyards at Lo Cabaló, giving name to this wine that represents a real pride.
It has a nice "picota" cherry colour with subtle crimson reflections.
Rich in aromas which, once combined, offer us this very elegant wine of fine equilibrium and an extreme refined perfume. Exuberant aroma, rich and complex, typically varietyful with a sensational background of fine species in a perfect equilibrium with notes of wood fruits and blackcurrant, giving birth to a subtle toasted aroma.
It deals with a wine of great gustatory generosity, sophisticated and magnanimous.
It has an extremely warm, silky and round palate.
When in mouth we can discern its excellent combination of fructuosity and wood. Thanks to a very extensive aftertaste both in terms of quantity and quality, this wine is definitely a pleasure for the senses, a wine for connoisseurs.
Inequalable in special occasions, when one wants to enjoy a great wine and wants to enjoy life itself. It represents the best ally for red meat dishes, cheese, delicatessen and pâtés.
Variety percentages : 75% Garnacha, 10% Merlot, 10% Syrah and 5% Cariñena.

Vines coming from our vineyards of Lo Cabaló, in Priorat, in the heights of the mountains, these vineyards are pruned according to a specific way, per medium pruning. Those varieties were harvested by end September 1998 and they were qualified Excellent.
We achieve a previous selection of the best grapes from our best vineyards from Lo Cabaló; they are carefully fermented and macerated at a controlled temperature, around 25-28·C.The malolactic process occurs spontaneously in stainless steel containers before
pouring the wine into new barrels of French oak in which it will be aged for 15 months, giving to the final product its character and very nice evolution.
Once bottled and before being commercialised, it is kept therein during 12 months, enabling it to develop the bouquet and characteristics typical of Priorat. It is a wine to be kept, that is, it will have a long life in its bottle.
